There are picture books that we love for the beautiful images and others that make us smile at the sweet stories, but the ones that we come back to time and time again are those that make us laugh out loud. These seven books are some of our current favorites that make us giggle every time.
The Monster at the End of this Book by Jon Stone
This classic Sesame Street book featuring lovable, furry old Grover is one that never gets hold. Kids (and parents) will get a kick going against Grover’s wishes as they continuously turn the pages getting ever closer to the monster at the end of the book. We enjoy it as a board book so we can rip the pages open, but if you want a more tech
Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin, illustrated by Daniel Salmieri
Who doesn’t love tacos? We sure do and so do dragons, just make sure to hold the hot sauce. Whether it’s Tuesday or not this book is sure to give everyone a hankering for tacos and a side ache from laughing.
Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug by Jonathan Stutzman, illustrated by Jay Fleck
This sweet little book is about Tiny who above all just wants to give his friend Pointy a hug to make him feel better but suffers, like all T-rex, from having tiny little arms. He decides he will just practice until he gets it right and hugs everything in sight…even a cactus. Ouch!
I will Chomp You! by Jory John, illustrated by Bob Shea
Another interactive tale will have your kids jumping and laughing as a monster tries to scare them away from his book and his precious cakes. Make sure to turn the pages fast so your fingers don’t get nibbled but don’t give up until you reach the sweet treat at the end of this book.
Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus by Mo Williams
It’s a guarantee that any book by Mo Williams will have us giggle but there is just something about Pigeon that keeps us coming back for more. Check out this book and some of the other Pigeon stories (my favorite is The Ducking Gets a Cookie!?).
This Book Just Ate My Dog by Richard Byrne
Something strange is going on with this book. Things seem to be disappearing between the pages. You’ll have to shake and spin to help get everything to come back out.
No Boring Stories! by Julie Falatko, illustrated by Charles Santoso
Most books are filled with bunnies and puppies and hugs and all sorts of sweet things. But not this book. This is a book about all the creatures that never get to be part of stories and the crazy stories they like to write. From evil grapes to laser shooting carrots to singing shoes this story is sure to be like nothing you have ever read before. We even liked it so much that we included it in one of our Bookakery Boxes.

These are just a few of our favorites, but what are some of yours?
